Admissions

We are Bronx Haven

Bronx Haven High School is dedicated to providing a supportive community environment for the academic and socio-emotional development of over-aged and under-credited students from the Bronx and upper Manhattan. We operate on a rolling admissions process coinciding with our trimesters (September, December, March). Prospective students must be between the ages of 16-20 years old and must have attended another high school for at least one year.

Our intake process has gone virtual as a result of Covid-19. Our application is available by clicking the “apply now” button in the top section of our website. Once a student completes an application, a member of our team will reach out to schedule a virtual interview with the applicant and their parent or guardian via the Zoom platform. To expedite the decision, it is recommended for applicants to send all supporting documents to intake@bronxhaven.org. The documents requested consist of the applicant’s latest transcript, RISA, immunization, and IEP if applicable. The interviews last approximately 25 minutes and require both parent/guardian/support person and prospective student to be present. We have Spanish speaking staff should anyone require a translated interview. Following a successful interview and submission of all required documents, a decision is made and communicated within 1 week. If you have any questions or concerns regarding our intake process, feel free to contact our Program Director, Evin Marquez at emarquez@bronxhaven.org

We encourage you to visit us for an Open House to learn more about our school. You can also apply to our school online.

The admissions interview is an opportunity for you to learn more about the school and for the admissions committee to get to know you better.

The Notification of Final Decision is a letter that informs you whether or not you have been accepted to a school.
